OUR MISSION
YOUS products are inspired by very simple recycling concepts and functional objectives but derive an evocative character through its deconstruction and distribution of contemporary iconic cultural imagery.
OUR BAGS
The YOUS range for 2004 consists of urban/street wear bags made from recycled billboard canvas. Pattern pieces are cut with consideration for their positioning when constructed but the original billboard image and the approach taken in laying out the cuts ensures no two bags are the same.
OURSELVES
The practical construction of the bags has signature design features that can be attributed to the people behind YOUS. Designers Sam Tew and Marie Chan combine their experience in industrial design and architecture to create products that question consumer habits but also the responsibility of designers to choose materials with consideration for the future.
